Safety training videos and DVD's are a valuable aid for employee safety training, but OSHA warns employers that the general information in the video or DVD may need to be supplemented with site-specific information and/or training. For example, a generic lockout tagout training video may explain the general steps necessary to control hazardous energy, but the employer will still have to inform the worker of the specific lockout procedures to be implemented at the workplace.
